The 2014 Scholarship Competition is now underway!

The Edison Park Community Council welcomes all high school seniors and freshmen in college or trade school to answer the question: 

"How has living in Edison Park influenced your long-range goals?"


A 500-word essay about the effect of Edison Park on your future plans could get you a $2,000 scholarship!


All applicants must be Edison Park residents.


All applications are due by February 8th, 2014. Winners will be announced on March 12th, 2014. See our application for eligibility requirements.

The Edison Park Community Council gives scholarships to deserving Edison Park high school senior or freshmen in college.  Awarded funds may be used to assist with student expenses such as tuition, fees, books or room and board. Prior to making final selections, a committee comprised of officers and directors of the Edison Park Community Council reviews and evaluates all applications submitted.

The scholarship is funded by various activities of the Edison Park Community Council like the Summer Pub Crawl and the Fall Football Party.

The Edison Park Community Council is proud to announce the winners of the 2013 College Scholarship:

The insights the applicants shared exhibited a generosity of spirit, wisdom, commitment, and joy at participating in something bigger than themselves. We look forward to reading more inspiring stories about the people in our neighborhood.


The Edison Park Community Council’s mission is to devote itself to the civic and social welfare of the community. We welcome any suggestions to improve Edison Park.

The Council meets on the second Wednesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. at the Emerald Isle, located at 6686 N. Northwest Highway.
