Letter from the Executive Director:

This year is sure to be an exciting time in Edison Park! We will continue our efforts to build a new playlot at Edison Park in partnership with the President and CEO of the Chicago Blackhawks and childhood Edison Park resident, John McDonough as well as the Edison Park Community Council.  We will build on the momentum of the successful events that we implemented in 2011 including Edison Park Restaurant Week and the Unwrap Edison Park Shop Local Inititative and introduce new events for our members including a wine tasting dinner and Cubs/Sox outing.  We will also strive to develop a networking calendar that includes not only Edison Park events but also inclusion of neighboring Chambers that are of interest to our members based on the results of our 2011 Member Survey.  Overall, it is my personal goal to create an optimal mix of networking opportunities, social events and member benefits that will maximize the success of our 2012 membership drive.

My Assistant Executive Director, Alison Froeschle, and I would also like to introduce our 2012 Board of Director and Officers, with whom we have the pleasure of serving our business district and community at large.

Board of Directors: Alex Barton (Barton Marketing Group), Nicole Bujewski (le Flour Bake Shop & Cake Studio), Steve Ek (Ek Automotive), Jerome Mytych (AT&T), Brian Schoen (Real Network Solutions), Kevin Shirley (The Mecca Supper Club), John Staunton (Sir Speedy Edison Park), Jamie Suckow (Edison Park Inn), Tony Valle (Yes I Am Show Business), and Millisa Vasich (Happy Child Day Care)

Officers: Jill Doherty (President - LepreCAN Portable Restrooms), George McCarthy (Vice-President - Pinnacle Graphics), Pamela Russell (Treasurer - First Nations Bank) and Kathleen Kreher (Secretary - Romance in Blooms)

I look forward to continuing to serve as the Executive Director and do my part to help maintain the strength of our business district and the overall community of Edison Park. Please do not hesitate to call me directly at 773-631-0063 or simply stop by the office at 6730 N. Olmsted (METRA Station).

Sincerely,
