CITY OF CHICAGO SIGN PERMIT AMNESTY PROGRAM

Do you have a sign, canopy, awning, marquee or banner?  Do you have all the required permits?  You need two types of permits for any of the above:  1.  a Building Permit - to install; and 2.  a Public Way Use Permit if it hangs over the public way.  During the "Amnesty" you can apply for all the right permits and have all your fees waived for the first year.  Avoid being fined in the future for not having the required permits.  Call (312) 74-GOBIZ (744-6249) or visit www.cityofchicago.org/bacp.

THE HIRE ACT - Effective March 19, 2010 through December 31, 2010

This is a new incentive from the Federal Government to encourage hiring.  Employuers are exempt from the employer portion of Social Security Wages (FICA) paid to qualified employees beginning March 19, 2010 through December 31, 2010.  Go to www.adp.com/jobtaxcredit for more information.

 Great advertising opportunity to reach 15,000+ patrons of Edison Park Fest to be held from August 20th through the 22nd .  Offer coupons to draw foot traffic and attention to your business.  The Edison Park Fest Guide is distributed the first week of August and throughout the Fest.  Contact the Chamber office, (773) 631-0063 or rita@edisonpark.com for more information.  RESPOND EARLY AND SAVE MONEY!  The ad size is 3.5 x 2 (business card size) and cost $150 before July 14th.  After July 14th the ad will cost $175.  ALL ADS ARE DUE BY JULY 19th.  This guide is being produced by the Eidson Park Chamber of Commerce which will benefit from all proceeds.
